'Large' fire breaks out at an Ipswich leisure club

Firefighters are currently on the scene of a large fire at Riverhills Health Club, in Ipswich.

Emergency services were called just after midnight to the fire on Bramford Road - at its peak, ten engines were on the scene, along with specialist appliances.

People are being advised to avoid the area, with road closures in place between Papermill Lane and Weaver Close.

The fire service say the fire started in the swimming pool area of the club, and investigations into what caused it will start later this morning.
