Two charged with drug offences in Ipswich

Police found bags containing a white powder during a search

Police have charged two people in connection with drug offences in Ipswich.

Officers stopped a silver Mercedes on Cemetery Road on Saturday 21 October.

They then searched both the female driver and male passenger under the Misuse of Drugs Act.

Eight bags of a white substance were recovered as was a car key for another vehicle.

They then searched the second vehicle at Copdock and a large quantity of seal bags containing white powder were discovered.

A search of property in Copdock village recovered further drugs and a large amount of cash.

23 year old Klodjan Kovaci, of no fixed abode but from the Ipswich area, was charged with possession of drugs with intent to supply and possession of criminal property, namely money.

21 year old Grace Thomas, of Wenham Road in Ipswich, was charged with possession of drugs with intent to supply, possession of cannabis and possession of criminal property, namely money.

Both appeared before Ipswich Magistrates Court on Monday 23 October and both will appear before Ipswich Crown Court on Monday 20 November.
