Ipswich to face Reading in round two of the Carabao Cup
Over 3,000 Ipswich fans are watch the game in Reading
Ipswich Town take on Reading in round two of the Carabao Cup this evening, with kick-off scheduled for 8pm.
The Blues travel to Berkshire following a win against Bristol Rovers in the first round of the competition.
In their first round match, the Royals secured a 4-0 win at Millwall.
Over 3,000 Ipswich fans are expected to join Kieran McKenna's side in Reading.
Assistant Manager Martyn Pert says they're expecting a tough game - and that there will be changes to the starting XI:
“I think we’ll change it, as we did in the previous round, but I’m not sure what they will be,” he told TownTV.
“We will get players minutes but will go there trying to get the win.
“Every team at home will be wanting to win, so Reading will be motivated and have some good players and a good coach (Ruben Selles).
“It will be a difficult one because in these games you’re never 100% sure what the teams will look like. We will make changes and we would expect them too as well.”
