Horse dies after crash on A11 involving car and lorry
The road's been closed twice overnight due to incidents involving animals
Police have confirmed a horse has died following a crash involving a lorry and a car on the A11 at Red Lodge overnight.
Officers were initially called at 11.55pm last night to reports two vehicles had collided with a horse on the carriageway.
The animal died as a result.
The road was reopened at 12.50am but had to be closed again at around 3.30am when two other horses got loose during the recovery of the first horse.
Several attempts were made to lead the horses to a secure field during the night, with the road eventually reopening at 8.30am this morning.
