Haverhill branch of Lloyds Bank to close in summer 2024
Lloyds says the number of transactions at the branch has fallen by around 50% since 2018
The Lloyds Bank in Haverhill is to close down, leaving the town without any High Street banks.
The banking giant plans to shutter the branch on June 24 2024 due to a falling number of customers and transactions carried out there.
Since 2018 the number of transactions has fallen by around 50%, with the number of customers showing up to the branch down by over 40%.
335 people used the bank regularly in the 12 months to April.
The closures leave the nearest alternative Lloyds branches in Newmarket and Sudbury.
Haverhill's branch of Barclays shut earlier this month.
