New Gal Gadot movie to be filmed in Suffolk
The crew and cast are expected to arrive next month
Filming for a new Netflix spy thriller starring Gal Gadot is coming to Suffolk next month.
Heart of Stone, which began on-set production last month is set to film at the Grade II Listed Elveden Hall from May 3-7, and May 9 and 10.
Few details of the production’s plot is known, but it is understood to be a spy thriller feature film with multiple websites describing it as being akin to Mission Impossible. Gal Gadot and Jamie Dornan are among the top billed cast, with Gadot playing the title character Rachel Stone.
The movie is being developed by Skydance Media and directed by the BAFTA-nominated Tom Harper who has worked on productions such as Peaky Blinders, This is England ’86 and Misfits.
Netflix secured the rights in January last year, and filming began at Shepperton Studios in Surrey in March.
Elveden Hall has become a regular for TV and film productions over the years, having hosted the likes of The Crown, Ridley Scott’s All the Money in the World, Stanley Kubrick’s final movie Eyes Wide Shut, James Bond thriller The Living Daylights, Stardust and Lara Croft: Tomb Raider.
Local talent is being sought for the sound department, with a job advert being circulated by the county’s official film office, Screen Suffolk.
It says it is open to those who have little experience of sound department work but who are keen to learn how the department works on a major motion picture.
