Officers investigating the attempted murder of a woman in Carlton Colville last month are appealing for CCTV and dashcam footage.

The incident occurred between 1am and 2am on Saturday 23 November at an address in Lowestoft Road.

Police were called at approximately 2.10am and arrived at the scene within a matter of minutes, with ambulance crews also in attendance.

The victim – a woman aged in her 30s – sustained multiple stab wounds and was taken to hospital for treatment. She has now been discharged, but her recovery continues.

Officers immediately began enquiries to locate the suspect - who is known to the victim – and a 34-year-old man was arrested at 7pm on Saturday evening and taken to Great Yarmouth Police Investigation Centre for questioning.

Ryan Leggett, of Lowestoft Road, Carlton Colville, was subsequently charged with attempted murder and also a second offence of threatening a person with a knife in private place, in respect of another victim (a teenage child).

Leggett appeared before Great Yarmouth Magistrates’ Court on Monday 25 November, where he was remanded in custody pending a hearing at Ipswich Crown Court on Monday 9 December.

Detectives are now appealing for anyone who lives in, or was driving in the vicinity of, Lowestoft Road or the Dales Estate and has CCTV or a dashcam, to review the footage between 1am and 4am on Saturday 23 November and check if it has captured any images of a lone man.
