Fire damage at Ipswich Town training ground
A marquee was set alight at Playford Road over the weekend
Ipswich Town says its 'extremely disappointed' after a fire at the Blues' Playford Road training ground over the weekend.
It was discovered on the morning of Sunday February 6. Nobody was injured.
A marquee, which was used for player fitness sessions, was destoyed.
In a statement on its website, the club said:
"The Club takes great pride in its local community and we see ourselves as one of the many organisations leading on that front.
"We would therefore be extremely disappointed should it be discovered that the damage caused was intentional.
"The Club will await a report from the relevant authorities and will make no further comment at this time."
