Suffolk Mind is thanking people for their support, after a week-long fundraiser raised £14,000 for children’s mental health.

The charity auctioned off a signed edition of Suffolk born singer Ed Sheeran’s latest album, and offered gift wrapping services at a store in Ipswich in exchange for donations.

They tell us the money raised will help provide children in the county with the tools they need to look after their mental health.

Julie Long, Fundraising Manager at Suffolk Mind, said: “The support we received during this year’s campaign has been phenomenal.

“Thanks to the generosity of businesses and individuals, we will be able to provide more children across the county with the tools to look after their mental health.

“We’d like to thank everyone who held fundraisers and made donations, as well as our team of volunteers for their hard work.”

Jon Neal, CEO of Suffolk Mind, said: “We are committed to supporting and improving mental health for everyone in Suffolk – and beginning at a young age is essential."
