A team from the Covid inquiry are in Suffolk today to listen to people's experiences of the pandemic.

Those living in the county can today attend a drop-in event called 'Every Story Matters' to speak to inquiry staff, and fill out forms sharing their thoughts and experiences.

It's taking place in Ipswich today (Tuesday 6th August) at Ipswich Town Hall, in Cornhill, between 10:00am and 4:30pm.

The inquiry, which is chaired by Baroness Heather Hallett, was set up to examine the country's response to the pandemic, and to see if lessons could be learnt.

So far it's published one report into the UK's preparedness of pandemics, which determined there had been significant planning flaws which led to more Covid deaths.

It's thought around eight more reports will be published in due course.
