Covid-19 cases nearly double in Suffolk in a week

The number of people in Suffolk testing positive for coronavirus has doubled in a week.

According to official figures, 3,440 people returned a positive result in the week to Wednesday (13 January) - nearly double that of the previous week.

38 covid-19 related deaths have been recorded in the county in the 7 days to New Year's Day.
