An inquest into the death of RAF gunner Corrie McKeague is due to get underway in Suffolk today.

The 23 year-old from Dunfermline in Fife vanished after a night out in Bury St Edmunds on September 24th 2016.

He was reported missing two days later by his colleagues at RAF Honington and no trace of him has ever been found.

Suffolk Police believe the airman climbed into a bin which was then tipped in a waste lorry.

The force has ruled out any other theories.

The inquest, which will be heard by a jury, is listed for the next four weeks.
