Community groups in East Suffolk are being encouraged to apply for extra funding.

The Felixstowe Peninsula Community Partnership, which launched its Small Grant Scheme in October 2020, has open its second round of applications.

Financial support is available for groups which tackle local priorities including isolation and loneliness, mental health and emotional wellbeing, physical health, financial hardship and educational attainment.

Grants between £250 and £2,000 are available to be applied for by the deadline on 2 April.

Councillor Mark Jepson, Chair of the Felixstowe Peninsula Community Partnership, said: "I am delighted to announce the launch of the Small Grant Scheme, which will support our local community across the peninsula.

"We are fortunate to have some outstanding local organisations, groups and charities, and welcome new groups also to apply. I hope that this fund will provide them with the opportunity to respond to emerging issues and develop community resilience."

Full details about the eligibility criteria can be found on East Suffolk Council's website.
