Police make arrest after barn destroyed in arson attack in north Suffolk

Police have made an arrest after a suspected arson attack on a barn in north Suffolk.

A large amount of straw was set alight on Rectory Lane in Worlingham, near Beccles, on Sunday (April 2).

Suffolk Fire and Rescue were called to the scene at around 6pm and spent much of the next day fighting to get the blaze under control.

A group of young people was seen leaving the barn shortly before the fire was reported.

So far, one person has been questioned by police and released on bail.

Officers are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
