A man has been arrested and bailed after a dog attack in Lowestoft on New Year's Eve.

It happened as the victim was out walking his dog in the North Denes caravan park between 6pm and 8pm.

His pet was attacked by two other dogs, both similar to American bulldogs. The man was then punched and kicked by a group of young people.

One man has been arrested and bailed in connection with the incident, while a dog has also been seized.

The victim was injured and his dog had to be put to sleep.

Officers are still trying to trace the owner of the second dog involved - described as a large while American bulldog.
