Police are looking for witnesses after a group of men wearing balaclavas broke into a home in Halesworth armed with knives on Monday.

The three intruders targeted a home on Lansbury Road between 11 and 11:15pm, threatening the people inside.

One of the occupants of the house had to be trated in hopsital after suffering cuts to his left hand, arm and leg.

A woman was also assaulted during the incident.

Police aren't sure of the motive behind the attack but currently think it was an isolated incident and there is no wider threat to the community.

Officers want to hear from anyone who was in the area between 10:30pm and 11:30pm on April 4th.

They are also looking for motorists who captured dashcam footage in the area at the time to get in touch.
