Police are appealing for information after a group of children were threatened and assaulted while they were walking to school in Beccles.

This happened on February 2 at around 8:15am. A man stopped a white VW car on Rigbourne Hill near the Premier store and threatened a group of pupils by St Luke’s Church.

A few minutes later the car was seen again in the area of the SET Beccles School in Castle Hill.

A man wearing a balaclava got out the passenger seat of the car before shouting at the group of boys and punching several of them.

Police are linking the attack to a similar incident on January 30, when a white VW was driven at a boy crossing the road on Castle Hill - he wasn't hurt.

Officers are appealing for witnesses or anyone who captured dashcam or CCTV footage in the area at the time to get in touch.
