The A140 in Suffolk is to close for three Sundays next month, as several large loads of equipment are moved between Ipswich and Eye Airfield.

Three generators will be moved along the road, with a convoy of vehicles forced to crawl along parts of the 17 mile route.

The closures will be in place from 6:30am on October 8th, 15th and 22nd, with the possibility of additional closures if the moves are not completed in that time.

Suffolk Police say they hope the road will be reopened by around midday on each of those days, but the force adds this "cannot be guaranteed".
