56% of Covid-19 fines unpaid in Suffolk

149 of the 262 fines issued went unpaid in the county

More than half of fines issued for breaching coronavirus rules have gone unpaid in Suffolk.

The figures on the Fixed Penalty Notices (FPNs) have been obtained by PA and count for fines that went unpaid between March 27 and September 21.

In Suffolk 149 of the 262 FPNs issued went unpaid, working out at just under 57%.

34 FPNs, or just under 13% were rescinded in the same time period.
