Teenagers arrested after shooting of 16 year old in Sheffield released on bail
The incident happened earlier this week on London Road
Two teenagers arrested a 16 year old boy was shot and seriously injured in Sheffield earlier this week have been released on bail.
The pair, aged 15 and 16, were being questioned on suspicion of conspiracy to commit murder after the incident on London Road on Monday.
The 16 year old victim remains in a serious condition in hospital.
Inspector Amy Mellor said: "In the days following this horrendous shooting, my officers have been out and about ensuring they are present and available to you."
"My team and I truly care about this community and several officers chose to come on duty to patrol the streets on their day off in response to this tragedy.
"In two days, these officers have patrolled for over 18 hours, covering some 35 miles in the areas surrounding London Road, Mount Pleasant Park and Abbeydale Road.
"We know that people within our communities will hold crucial information about the horrific events that unfolded on Monday.
"London Road was busy at the time, around 5.15pm, with rush hour traffic and people returning from work so if you hold any information that could assist our investigation, please come forward.
"If you know something or have relevant footage which could help the investigation team, please send it to us or speak to one of our patrolling officers."
