The defender is the first ever Millers player to be part of a World Cup squad
Rotherham defender Ar'Jany Martha has made history for both club and country, as part of the Curucao team to qualify for the World Cup this week.
The Caribbean island, with a population of around 160,000, is the smallest to nation to ever make it through to the finals of the competition.
Martha was a substitute in the 0-0 draw to Jamaica which confirmed qualification this week. He also found the net during another qualification match against Bermuda.
While Rotherham has been home to many international stars over the years, this is the first time one has had an opportunity to play in the planet's top footballing competition.
Speaking to the Rotherham United website, Millers boss Matt Hamshaw said:
"I haven't spoken to him, but have corresponded with him via WhatsApp.
"He is in Curacao for his celebrations for qualifying for the World Cup which I'm really pleased for him.
"He text me yesterday saying how nervous he was for the game and how much it meant for the nation.
"It's important for him and his family of course, but it is also nice for us as a club that we can have him here at the end of the season and watch him thrive in the World Cup.
"I'm delighted for him and his country. I think it's the smallest nation ever to get into the World Cup. I know how much it will mean to him."
