Child suffers bleed on the brain after being hit by quad bike in Barnsley
Police are still trying to trace the rider of the vehicle involved in the collision on Sunday

An eight year old boy has suffered a bleed on the brain after being hit by a quad bike in Barnsley.
This happened on Crookes Lane in Carlton at around 5:15pm on Sunday (October 26), as the child was walking with his mum.
The rider of quad, which was in convoy with another bike travelling towards Carlton Village Working Men’s Club, swerved and hit the boy who was knocked to the ground.
The quad rider stopped and the scene but then fled.
The boy remains in hospital where its said he is recovering qell.
Police are now trying to trace both quad bike riders.
One of the quad bikes was red and black, and one rider was wearing a bright green helmet. Both riders were also reported to be wearing dark tracksuits and aged late teens, with face coverings on.
