A man's convicted of murder over a fatal shooting in Sheffield

A 25-year-old man has been found guilty by a jury following a five-week murder trial.
Jake Brown, Leon Waite, Lester Ramsey, Adam Mulligan and a 17-year-old boy who can’t be named for legal reasons, have been on trial after Kevin Pokuta was fatally shot in December 2023.
It happened on Page Hall Road on Tuesday 12 December 2023.
Emergency services attended and found the 19-year-old in a critical condition. Kevin was taken to hospital but died the following day (Wednesday 13 December) from his injuries.
Jake Brown has today (Tuesday 5 November) been convicted of five offences.
The 25-year-old, formally of Horninglow Road, Sheffield, has been found guilty of murder, attempted GBH, conspiracy to rob, and two firearm offences. He was found not guilty of attempted murder. He has been remanded into custody.
Waite, 27, formally of Denholme Close, Sheffield, was found guilty of conspiracy to rob. He was found not guilty of possession of a firearm with intent to cause danger. He has been remanded into custody.
Ramsey, 25, formally of Skelton Close, Sheffield, has been found guilty of conspiracy to rob. He was found not guilty of possession of a firearm with intent to cause danger. He has been remanded into custody.
Mulligan, 33, of High Hazel Crescent, Rotherham, has been found guilty of conspiracy to rob. He has been remanded into custody.
The 17-year-old boy has been found guilty of conspiracy to rob. He was found not guilty of possession of a firearm with intent to cause danger. He has been released on bail until sentencing.
They will all appear at Sheffield Crown Court on 16 December for sentencing.
As instructed by the Judge, the jury found Leon Waite and Lester Ramsey not guilty of murder, attempted murder, attempted GBH and possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life.
