Wales remain bottom of the table in rugby's Women's Six Nations with a single losing bonus point after a heavy 40-nil defeat to France.

The French ran in six tries at Cardiff Arms Park to ensure a tense conclusion to the championship in Bordeaux next weekend.

Wales are now pinning their hopes on a victory in their final game against Italy on Saturday with Ioan Cunningham's side hoping to avoid the wooden spoon.

France will play defending champions England for the title at the weekend.
