In memory of her equestrian-loving daughter who took her own life, a mother is set to walk from South Wales to Birmingham with a life-size resin horse.
Emma Webb will undertake the 140-mile trek from her home in Newport to the Horse of the Year Show in Birmingham this September, in honour of her daughter Brodie, who passed away in 2020 at the age of 16.
Emma told Greatest Hits Radio: "Our young people have been through a really, really tough time and I think mental health awareness is becoming bigger
"It's just about breaking down that stigma and getting the right support to those people.
"The motivation will always be there because it keeps me going personally.
"Brodie was my only child and losing her, I felt like I was losing my purpose.
"So, it just gives me a purpose and push to carry on and get out of bed in the morning."
In December, Ms. Webb completed a 158-mile (257km) charity walk with the horse, named Miles, raising tens of thousands of pounds.
Emma believes that Miles helped spark conversations on the route with others about mental health and she hopes his presence will have the same effect this time around.
