Woman seriously hurt by falling scaffolding in Fareham

A woman has suffered serious injuries after being hit by falling scaffolding in Fareham.
The structure was blown into the pedestrian precinct in West Street at around 1.45pm on Wednesday (April 12th) by strong winds.
The woman had to be released from the scaffolding by fire crews after becoming trapped, with Hampshire Fire and Rescue service confirming that teams from Cosham and Fareham were called out.
She was treated at the scene by paramedics before being taken to hospital.
The area outside the Halifax branch was cordoned off following the incident.
