Woman in critical condition after being hit by car in Bognor Regis
Police have made an arrest
A woman remains in a critical condition in hospital after being hit by a car in Bognor Regis.
Sussex Police said the 77-year-old was airlifted to the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton after being struck on Chichester Road in Bersted on Tuesday (March 19th).
The incident happened at around 6.40am, near to the junction of Bucksham Avenue.
The driver of the green Skoda Octavia, a 53-year-old local man, was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving.
He has since been released on police bail whilst inquiries continue.
