An Isle of Wight woman has been left stunned after a note was left on her windscreen claiming her car was making a street in Shanklin look like Beirut.
Julia Laursen was told her £12,000 Skoda was bringing down the "respectable" neighbourhood in Littlestairs Road.
The 56-year-old from Chillerton posted the note on Facebook.
Julia said: "I couldn't believe what I was reading, I was just dumbfounded.
"The initial slight outrage of who the hell do these people think they are turned into comedy."
The note said: "I hope you don’t mind, but would you kindly not park your vehicle on this road please? This is a nice respectable road and it now looks like Beirut.
"We don't drive such vehicles so perhaps you could in future park it somewhere more appropriate. Like the dump!"
The note was signed off as "The Littlestairs Road Management".
The road is a short walk to the beach offering views across the English Channel.
