Three workers have been hurt when a large marquee collapsed in Southampton.

The 125-metre long temporary structure came down as it was being dismantled after last week's Seawork marine exhibition in Mayflower Park.

South Central Ambulance Service said the workers had suffered minor injuries.

Around 19 metal supports which held up the roof and sides of the marquee have collapsed.

The structure was being dismantled

Neptunus, the company that provided the marquee, said it had launched an urgent investigation to determine the cause of the collapse of the 'Alu Hall'.

A spokesman said: "The Alu Hall temporary structure collapsed as technicians were dismantling it following an exhibition.

"All three workers were taken to hospital."

The Seawork exhibition ran from 13 to 15 June.
