Teenager seriously injured in stabbing in Southampton

The 16-year-old was attacked in an underpass close to St Mary's Stadium

A 16-year-old boy is being treated for serious injuries following a stabbing in Southampton.

Police were called to reports of a serious assault on the pathway leading from Brintons Road to the underpass that leads to St Marys Street at around 1am on Saturday morning (December 16th).

The teenager, who is from Leeds, suffered injuries to his hands and legs.

Hampshire Police are looking to speak to anyone with information about the incident, including those who may have relevant CCTV or dashcam footage.
