Girl, 16, seriously injured at car meet outside supermarket
Police were called to the Morrisons supermarket car park in Horndean
A 16-year-old girl has been seriously injured after being hit by a car at a car meet outside a supermarket near Waterlooville.
Police said they were called to the Morrisons car park in Horndean on Friday evening where the vehicle had hit a number of people.
The teenage girl was taken to hospital with a serious injury to her knee.
A Hampshire Constabulary spokesperson said: " We were called at 8.41pm to reports of a car meet at the Morrisons car park on Lakesmere Road.
"We then received a further call just before 9.20pm that one of the vehicles, a Fiat 500, had been in a collision with pedestrians.
"On arrival a 16-year-old girl was located with a serious injury to her knee, the injury is not life-threatening or life changing.
"The vehicle has been recovered by police for examination."
