A film crew have been seen setting up in Dorset for what's believed to be a brand new Star Wars project.

Filming for 'Andor', a prequel to 'Rogue One' (2016) began in November in London and is now thought to be taking place at Winspit Quarry near Worth Matravers.

It's due to be shown on Disney+

On-lookers can expect a heavy security presence with parts of the quarry closed off.

No loitering signs are also in place.

Photos show crew setting up on Monday, with filming expected to take place today.

The area will be closed off until 21st May for filming.

Hollie Drinkwater from Dorset is a superfan who wanted to get a peak of the action.

She told Greatest Hits Radio Dorset:

"I'm a huge Star Wars fan.

"It's the last day of my annual leave today so I was like I'm going to make this monumentous but we also said even if we don't see anything, the Purbecks are so beautiful, we've got our dog with us, it'll just be a nice walk.

"But secretly I was like 'I need to go see this."

She told us what she was hoping to see:

"Just the set itself, anything to do with Star Wars is always quite extravagant, secretly wishing I'd see Diego Luna or Ewan McGregor."
