Dorset Police have made a renewed appeal for witnesses following a fatal crash in Christchurch.

A motorcyclist in his 40s from Bournemouth died when he collided with a car on Barrack Road, at the junction with Avenue Road, at around 8.50am last Friday morning (30th September).

A black Kawasaki and a grey Suzuki Swift were involved.

Officers now think the rider of a pale coloured moped might have vital information.

PC Max Vallance, of the traffic unit, said:

“Our thoughts remain with the family and friends of the man who sadly died and our investigation to establish the full circumstances of this collision remains ongoing.

“I am appealing to any witnesses who have not already spoken to police to please get in touch.

“From our enquiries, we understand there was a pale-coloured step-through moped that was in the vicinity and stopped at a nearby bus stop after the collision. I would be keen to speak to the rider as they may have information to assist our enquiries.

“I would also like to repeat our plea for anyone who may have captured anything of relevance on dashcam footage to please contact us.”
