No further action against man arrested on suspicion of murder
Police were called to Queens Terrace in Southampton on Sunday
A 54-year-old man, arrested on suspicion of murder after a man was found dead at a property in Southampton, will face no further action against him.
Police were called shortly before 8.45am on Sunday to a report of a man needing "medical attention" inside a home on Queens Terrace.
The 42-year-old man from Southampton was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police issued the following statement:
"Following extensive enquiries carried out by officers in connection with the sudden death of a man in Southampton on Sunday morning (12 May), no further action will be taken against a 54-year-old man arrested on suspicion of murder in connection with the incident.
We were called just before 8.45am to a report of a man requiring medical attention inside a property on Queens Terrace.
Emergency services attended the home, but the 42-year-old man from Southampton was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
His death has now been deemed as unexplained but the circumstances are no longer being treated as suspicious and a report will be prepared for the coroner."
