Council bosses in the New Forest are vowing to get tough on those lighting BBQs and campfires after a rise in problems this summer.

Officials say the message is clearly not getting through so they're now considering a Public Spaces Protection Order.

That means people flouting the rules could be fined up to one-thousand pounds.

It could also apply to people feeding and petting the ponies.
