Murder case dropped after woman's death
Hampshire Police will be taking no further action in relation to the arrest of a man on suspicion of murder on the Isle of Wight
Officers have been investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a 55 year-old woman at St Mary’s Hospital in Newport on Thursday 4 April.
Yesterday morning (Saturday 13 April) a 51 year-old man from Shanklin was arrested on suspicion of murder and engaging in controlling or coercive behaviour in an intimate or family relationship.
Police have confirmed he has now been released on conditional bail until Saturday 13 July for the offence of coercive controlling behaviour.
The force has also confirmed it will be taking no further action in relation to the arrest on suspicion of murder.
