Three men armed with a knife have broken into a property in Bournemouth and assaulted a man.

It happened around 8.30am on Wednesday morning (23rd November) at an address in Frost Road.

The man suffered injuries to his head in the incident.

Shortly after, two men - who are thought to have been involved in the aggravated burglary - reportedly tried to steal a vehicle on Nutley Road.

The men ran away when a member of the public stepped in to help the driver.

A 22 year old man from Bournemouth has been arrested on suspicion of causing GBH and possession of an offensive weapon in a public place.

He's been released on bail.

A 29 year old man, of no fixed abode, has been arrested on suspicion of aggravated burglary.

Detective Inspector Shaun Inkpen, of Bournemouth CID, said:

“Detectives are carrying out an investigation into what happened and a cordon was in place while enquiries were carried out at the scene.

“I am appealing to anyone who witnessed what happened, or has information about the whereabouts of those involved, to please come forward.

“Additionally, I am interested in any CCTV or dashcam footage that covers the area of both Frost Road and Nutley Way at the relevant time.”
