Man seriously injured after being hit by tipper lorry in Bournemouth

Police are looking for two people who helped the victim

A man in his 70s has been seriously injured in a collision involving a tipper lorry in Bournemouth.

The crash, which involved a blue Mercedes vehicle, happened at around 10.30am on Monday (August 12th) on Richmond Hill.

The pedestrian, wo is from the town, was taken to hospital for treatment, while the driver of the lorry was uninjured.

Police Constable Duncan Roberts, of the Dorset Roads Policing Team, said:

"An investigation is underway to establish the full circumstances of the collision.

"I understand there were two pedestrians who came to the aid of the injured man after the incident and I would urge them to please come forward so I can find out what they saw.

"I am also keen to hear from any other witnesses who have not already spoken to police or anyone who may have captured anything of relevance on dashcam footage."
