Man in life-threatening condition after nightclub attack
Police said the club was busy at the time of the assault
A man is in a life-threatening condition after being attacked inside a Bournemouth nightclub.
Police said the 20-year-old man suffered a head injury after falling to the floor during an argument with another man in Vinyl club on Fir Vale Road in the early of hours of Sunday.
A 23-year-old man from Bournemouth was arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent - and released on bail.
The victim from Sunbury-on-Thames was taken to hospital for treatment where he remains seriously ill.
Detective Inspector Mark Jenkins, of Bournemouth CID, said: "Following our earlier appeal a number of people who witnessed this incident have contacted Dorset Police with information and I would like to thank them.
"We know the nightclub was busy at the time of the incident and I would ask anyone who saw what happened and has not yet contacted Dorset Police to please come forward.
"I am also keen to hear from anyone who may have captured all or part of the incident on a mobile phone."
