Man charged in connection with fatal M27 crash

A man has been charged with motoring offences in connection with a crash on the M27 in which a lorry driver died.

36-year-old Michal Kaminski from Salisbury was pronounced dead at the scene after his vehicle collided with two cars at junction 5 for Southampton Airport on February 21st.

Hampshire Police said a Nissan Juke and Volkswagen Polo were involved in the crash at around 12.30pm that day.

Ross Alex Neiland. who is 38 and from Littlehampton, has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving, causing death while uninsured, causing death while unfit through drink or drugs, and driving without a licence.

He has been remanded in custody to appear at Southampton Crown Court on November 1st.

40-year-old Kerry Ann Pearce, of Beach Road in Littlehampton, was charged with failing to provide a specimen and appeared at Southampton Magistrates Court on October 7th.

She pleaded guilty and was handed a 12 month disqualification and £30 fine.
