A man has been arrested after bottles of vodka were smashed on the floor of a supermarket in Portsmouth.

Police said it happened when staff at Aldi in North Harbour challenged someone as they walked through the till area on 15 April.

As they made off, police said two trollies of flowers were knocked over.

A 43-year-old man from Portsmouth has been questioned on suspicion of criminal damage and theft from a shop.

Police said he has been released on bail.
