John Chapman: Dorset aid worker died "trying to help people" in Gaza
The 57-year-old from Poole was killed in an Israeli air strike
A former special forces commando from Poole is among three Britons killed in an air strike while delivering aid in Gaza.
John Chapman had only been in Gaza for a few weeks before he was killed, according to The Sun.
World Central Kitchen confirmed the 57-year-old, who was working for the charity's security team, was among seven of its staff killed.
James "Jim" Henderson, 33, and James Kirby, 47, were the other Britons who died.
The convoy was hit as it was leaving a warehouse, where the team had unloaded more than 100 tonnes of humanitarian food aid taken to Gaza on the maritime route, the charity said.
A statement from the family of John Chapman said: "We are devastated to have lost John, who was killed in Gaza.
"He died trying to help people and was subject to an inhumane act. He was an incredible father, husband, son and brother.
"We request we be given space and time to grieve appropriately.
"He was loved by many and will forever be a hero. He will be missed dearly."
