Geese and ducks driven over deliberately in Dorset

Officers are appealing to any witnesses to come forward.

Officers investigating an incident involving cruelty to wildlife in Dorset are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.

Dorset Police received a report at around 9.50pm on Wednesday (October 20th) that a vehicle was seen travelling in East Creech Farm Road in Purbeck at speed and appeared to deliberately drive at a number of ducks and geese on the roadside.

Two geese and six ducks died as a result of the incident.

Police Constable Stuart Wilson, of Purbeck Police, said:

“We are carrying out a number of enquiries into this incident, which appears to be a mindless act by the driver involved, and I am appealing to any witnesses or anyone who may have captured anything relevant on dashcam footage to please come forward.”
