A teenage boy who died in a collision in Portchester is being remembered by his family as a 'much-loved son and brother'.

16-year-old Ethan Wilkie from Portsmouth was riding his bike on Portsdown Hill on August 13th when he was involved in a collision with a silver Honda Jazz car at the junction of Portsdown Hill Road, Portchester Lane and Skew Road.

He was taken to hospital with serious injuries and later passed away there.

Ethan's family has made the following tribute via Hampshire and Isle of Wight Police:

“Ethan was a loving, full of life character who enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. His infectious personality touched everyone he met. He had his whole life ahead of him and was taken from us far too soon.

“He was a much loved son and big brother who will be greatly missed by us all.

“We love you so much Ethan, until we meet again.”

Police investigating the incident have issued images of a silver Ford Galaxy which is believed to have turned right out of Skew Road and onto Portsdown Hill Road shortly before the collision.

They have also continued to appeal for witnesses to the collision, or those who may have dashcam footage of what happened.

Those who may know who the driver is, or who have further information about the crash, are asked to contact police online or by calling 101, quoting incident number 44240347160.

They can also contact Crimestoppers anonymously, on 0800 555 111 or online.
