An Eastleigh couple who built a Shaun of the Dead-inspired pub in their back garden have been crowned winners of Britain's Pub Shed of the Year.

Kev and Gina Marchant spent £10,000 creating their very own 'Winchester'.

It's kitted out with beer pumps, a stained glass ceiling, dart board and a poker table.

Kev said he and his wife came up with the idea during lockdown: "Me and Gina are both originally from Winchester. We were in a pandemic; and you had Shaun of the Dead which had its own pandemic so the idea came from that."

Kev said they came up with the idea during lockdown.

Gina said it was never part of the original plan: "We just thought we would have a little bar so we could entertain and have friends round.

"We didn't envisage it was going to be this big and this grand."
