Dorset's Tank Museum marking 100th anniversary this half term

Dorset's Tank Museum is celebrating its 100th birthday with a series of events to coincide with half term.

The attraction at Bovington's planning family activities all week to mark the centenary.

The Tank Museum's marking 100 years of welcoming visitors

Party games, face painting and crafts will be on offer, as well the opening of the site's brand new outdoor play area.

That includes wooden tanks to climb on as well as swings, a climbing net and a sit-on ‘springy’ tank figure for younger children.

Family activities are planned at the Tank Museum all week, to mark its centenary

Tomorrow (Tuesday 14th February) balloon artist David Crofts will be on site, aiming to make a tank just out of balloons!

The Museum houses nine exhibitions and 300 military machines, to make it Dorset's largest indoor visitor attraction.
