At around 10.45pm on Thursday 30 December 2021 a man entered the Kings Park convenience store in Ashley Road in Boscombe. The man assaulted a male member of staff with a piece of wood before producing a screwdriver from his waistband and threatening him.

The member of staff handed over a quantity of cash from the till and the offender left the store.

Officers attended and the victim was taken to hospital for treatment to injuries to his head and hand that were not believed to be serious.

Detective Constable Neil Causebrook, of Bournemouth CID, said: “This was understandably an extremely distressing ordeal for the victim, who was attacked while simply doing his job.

“We have launched a detailed investigation into this robbery and have obtained CCTV images of the suspect.

“I would urge anyone who recognises him, or who has any further information relating to this incident, to please contact us immediately.

“I am particularly keen to hear from any witnesses, as our enquiries indicate that there was a man who raised the alarm with passers by after the incident, but we have not been able obtain his details.”
