Cyclist critical after Southampton crash
A man in his 40s collided with a car in Millbrook
A cyclist has suffered life threatening injuries in a crash in Southampton.
It's after he collided with a car on Millbrook Road West yesterday morning.
Police want to speak to witnesses, particularly those in two cars and a van driving nearby at the time.
In a statement, Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary said: "We are appealing for witnesses following a serious collision in Southampton yesterday morning (Wednesday 23 August).
"At 9.44am a cyclist and a blue Renault Captur collided on Millbrook Road West.
"The cyclist, a man in his 40s from Southampton, was taken to hospital with life threatening injuries, where he remains at the current time.
"Officers investigating this incident are appealing for anyone who saw the cyclist on Millbrook Road West before the collision to please make contact.
"We would also like to hear from the occupants of two cars and a van who were travelling behind the Renault Captur at the time of the collision.
"Anyone who witnessed what happened or has dash cam footage that may assist our enquiries is asked to call 101 quoting reference 44230340902.
