All 31 episodes from the original version of children's TV programme Worzel Gummidge are being restored from archived negatives.

The Hampshire villages of Stockbridge, King's Somborne and Braishfield were the main filming locations for the series in the late 1970s and early 80s.

Filming took place in Broughton near Stockbridge for the fourth series.

Jon Pertwee starred as the loveable scarecrow alongside Una Stubbs who played Aunt Sally.

Worzel Gummidge originally ran for four series from 1979-1981, produced by ITV’s Southern Television.

A special showing of the first three restored episodes is being held at the BFI on London's South Bank on 10 April.

All restored episodes from the 16mm archive negatives will be released later this year on DVD and Blu-Ray.
