An elderly cat had to be rescued by firefighters in Lymington after it became trapped.

Crews were called to Paddock Gardens shortly after 7pm yesterday evening (Thursday 7th October) after 17-year-old 'Holly' was in pain having trapped her claws in a patio table.

A saw was used to cut the table off the pets leg. She was then handed back to her owners.

A home fire safety survey was then carried out.

Holly was freed from the patio table thanks to local firefighters
